Another travel day. This time we were heading back to Christchurch. Leaving the wonderful scenes of Queenstown and it’s surroundings behind we headed towards the highest mountain of the continent, Mt Cook or Aoraki. With a stop on Lake Tekapo for lunch we snaked our way across the South Island. Then the final 3 hours to Christchurch. Moving from the snow covered peaks of Western Otaga to the milder flats of the Canterbury plains. Back to Bealey’s Hotel (where we spent our previous nights in Christchurch). A weary bunch headed to their rooms after dinner on the eve of matchday 4.
